10 years ago I was hitchin’ a ride downtown with Anne & Steve : a couple who I had just met and was going to photograph for the first time. Their engagement session would take place in St. Paul and I bashfully admitted that I would love to ride together so I did’t get lost, or go the wrong way on a one-way, or lose all sense of intelligence in a parking ramp… Shooting downtown makes my stomach flip. A decade ago we talked about the online dating world and their upcoming wedding plans…
Fast forward all these years and we were riding downtown together again. This time, chirping from the backseat, their kindergartner was telling me all about his first weeks of school and their preschooler was filling me in on her colorful world as well.
10 years of photography that has turned into friendship and always driving downtown together. She gets me and I love her for that… Anne, you have the most beautiful family. Our annual session fills my cup with joy and friendship. Thank you for finding me all those years ago and letting me watch your kids grow up.
