Sometimes I long to live in a place where the “photography season” isn’t so short…a place where I could shoot all year long. Photographer’s phones don’t ring off the hook all winter long with requests for photos, but these sweet looks were captured in roughly 5 minutes @ 14 degrees…
My little Clara warms my heart. She knows I’m a photographer. She has watched me work. She picks up her toy camera and will say “I’m photoshooting like mommy too”. Everyone tells me how lucky she is that her collection of images growing up will be larger and more unique than her peers, but I’m the lucky one because I have the most patient little girl who let’s me photograph her and create pixels of art in the middle of playtime. Sometimes when I photograph her I have a vision, and outfits, and expectations for how that blonde hair is going to be tamed…other times I photograph her looking exactly like the sticky, snarly, 2 year old she is. On this day, she complied for a few minutes and blessed me with some beautiful expressions in the sun and snow:
