Last month my dear family gathered in Hudson, Wisconsin for the 3rd year in a row to celebrate little Moose Angel Gryga, my sister & Brother-in-law’s Angel Baby. The story of Moose Angel can be read HERE.
There are many days throughout the year that Moose crosses our minds, but during this particular yearly event, her memory is in the forefront of our thoughts for the entire day. It is important to us that we observe Halos of the St. Croix Valley’s Family Fun Day & 5k to truly focus on her life and remember the brief time she was here. I like to think of Halo’s 5K as “Moose’s Day”. The babies in our family all have holidays, birthdays, and family weekends to be celebrated and doted on and this very special event every Summer allows us to celebrate JUST Moose.
It’s important to note that Halos of the St. Croix Valley is a non-profit foundation supporting all families enduring a child loss. Their work is the work of angels and the love, support and impact they have on grief-stricken families is unfathomable.
I admire my sister and brother-in-law for their dedication to their 1st born, Moose. I admire their strength and hope. I admire them for keeping Moose an important & beloved member of our family.
Little Moose is truly loved, truly cherished and truly missed.
