Happy 1st Anniversary this weekend to my brother, Josh and sister-in-law, Laura. A year ago we gathered on the most fantastic spring weekend to celebrate their marriage at Ludlow’s Island Resort on Lake Vermillion. It was a weekend where 2 families created unforgettable memories together and….I want to go back.
Josh and Laura planned an intimate weekend centered around family, friends and good food. We enjoyed the resort activities, time on the water, camp fires, nieces & nephews, family meals, games, and of course their beautiful wedding ceremony.
I love my brother. He’s the best big brother you could ever hope to have. He’s the kind that will make fun of me and remind me I’m capable of anything within the same conversation. He has been known to drop everything on a cold winter day to rescue me from car trouble and picks up my baby girl Clara in a giant bear hug, the way only an uncle can do.
Tonight, I am heading to their home to photograph their maternity pictures…in just a few shorts weeks they will welcome a little baby boy, or baby girl. We are beside ourselves with excitment to meet this little person.
Josh & Laura, I am thankful for you & grateful for the role you play in mine and Clara’s life. Thank you for your friendship, weekday dinners and long conversations. I look back on these pictures and am reminded of what a beautiful weekend you planned and how you two are truly a match. So many memories to come!
