Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota is a dream wedding venue for many couples, but perhaps the best story of all is Krissy’s. Visiting Grand View has been a family tradition for many years – her folks even honeymooned there… somewhere in between all those trips north, Krissy kept the dream of working at GVL nestled in her heart. The summer after finishing school she did just that – spending her summer working at the Beach Boat House along the shore of gorgeous, Gull Lake. Krissy later decided someday she’d be married at Grand View Lodge too, so on Saturday April 23, 2016 She and Matt exchanged vows in front of their closest family and dear friends. Perhaps the dream included walking down Grand View’s historic stone staircase, but Mother Nature had other plans and forced us into the Headwater’s Wine Cellar where Bloom Designs transformed the room into a beautiful ceremony site. I loved being surrounded by Krissy and Matt’s fun-loving & laid back spirits. The weather didn’t put a damper on their smiles or willingness to photograph in the rain. There were unique and symbolic additions throughout the entire day and for these reasons, this is a wedding I will never forget.
