Appeldorn’s Sunset Bay Resort hosted one INCREDIBLE wedding. Matt & Leana’s outdoor June wedding was met with hours and hours of downpouring rain…We worked underneath umbreallas and overhangs. 15 minutes before the ceremony everyone looked to the west and noticed a slight clearing in the storm clouds. Deciding to move the ceremony outside was a huge gamble but completely worth it. The staff at Appeldorn’s moved fast side by side Leana’s and Matt’s family to turn the soggy ground into an amazing outdoor wedding setting. Within minutes the grounds were transformed, guests were filing in, and Leana was walking down the aisle on her father’s arm. Later in the evening we hit the gorgeous Mille Lac’s docks and captured some fun images free of umbrellas and rooftops. Matt & Leana danced the night away with their favorite people and I drove home so thankful for God’s grace and plan. This was a wedding day I will never forget!
