If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you are aware of the love affair I have with the great state of South Dakota. The changing geography, the rich light that dances over the fields and of course, the friendly, hardworking people. It is one of my favorite places to visit and to photograph. I would likely move there if I could.
On my last trip west, I was so happy to coordinate schedules with Tiffany and Nathan. They are long time friends of my sister, Annie, and like any annoying little sister, I decided long ago that I liked Tiffany too, so I decided to I was going to be friends with her as well. You won’t find two kinder, more witty, harder working, more driven and accomplished people than Tiff and Nate. I’ve thought so highly of them for years and have secretly wanted to photograph them & their handsome son, Carter, for ages. My wish came true when I met them just south of Mitchell, for an awesome evening on some breathtaking South Dakota land:
